American History Brashcard™ Set (Digital Download)

The American History Brashcard™ Set includes 96 self-checking sentence diagramming flashcards that guide students through key events and figures in United States history. Beginning with the voyages of Christopher Columbus and progressing through modern American history, students practice increasingly challenging grammar concepts while reinforcing historical knowledge.

Each card features a sentence to parse and diagram on the front. Simply flip the card over to reveal the completed diagram and check the student's work instantly.

Perfect for independent practice, review, tutoring, or classroom use, these cards provide a fun and engaging way to build confidence in grammar throughout the year.

What’s Included:

  • 96 color-coded, self-checking diagramming cards (5.5" x 4.25")
  • Sentence list file
  • Worksheet file

This set complements a complete grammar curriculum, including the Classical Conversations® Essentials program. The cards align with Weeks 1–24 of Essentials, providing four diagramming sentences per week. Sentence content corresponds with the American history topics studied during Cycle 3 Foundations, making it an excellent cross-curricular review tool. Sample sentences include:

  • The United States acquired the Louisiana Territory, and this prompted westward exploration.
  • The Nineteenth Amendment, which did not receive ratification until 41 years after its introduction, guarantees women voting rights!

Students encounter a wide variety of sentence structures as they advance through the set. Difficulty ranges from easy to extra challenging, allowing learners to grow their skills gradually while staying engaged. It also incorporates more advanced diagramming techniques such as verbals, appositives, and compound subjects and predicates.
